United Nations Selects Durasoil To Control Dust

The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) has chosen Durasoil for rapid deployment into Khartoum, Sudan for dust control and stabilization of its headquarters’ airfields and helipads.

Military aircraft and helicopters operating in dusty environments experience hazardous landing conditions resulting from loss of visibility, called “brown outs”. Durasoil eliminates this hazard to help protect up to 10,000 military personnel including some 750 military observers who are in charge of overseeing the ceasefire.

Furthermore, Durasoil eliminates foreign object debris (FOD) which drastically shortens the lifespan of sensitive engine and mechanical parts as well as helicopter rotor blades.

Soilworks, LLC is the innovator and manufacturer of Durasoil dust control agent. Durasoil is a revolutionary state-of-the-art innovation, engineered for today’s challenging dust control needs. Most importantly, this ultra-pure, synthetic organic fluid is formulated to meet the highest standards of environmental efficacy.

The United States Army Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) and the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) have evaluated many of Soilworks, LLC’s soil stabilizers and dust control agents, including Durasoil. As a result, all of the company’s products, Soiltac, Surtac and Durasoil continue to receive contracts and GSA orders to aid the United States Department of Defense for domestic and international theater operations.

The United Nations decision to use Durasoil was heavily weighted by its proven performance and unique characteristics. The product is distinctively crystal clear, odorless and is applied in a single step, without the need for water dilution to create an instant safe landing zone. This technologically advanced fluid does not cure, allowing for immediate use upon its application. Furthermore, Durasoil has the unique ability to be reworked and still maintain its dust controlling properties.

Any equipment capable of spraying water can safely be used to apply Durasoil, without any mess or damage to the equipment. Even in freezing and wet conditions, the product can still be applied regardless of weather conditions or season. Durasoil can be applied to any soil, sand or aggregate and effectively suppress dust all year round.

From intense-use helicopter landing pads to unpaved convoy roads, Durasoil is actively solving dust control challenges throughout the world’s residential, industrial, commercial and military markets.
