The Washington State Department of Transportation issued a New Product Bulletin approving the use of Durasoil®, a synthetic organic fluid developed by Soilworks, for dust control on haul roads. Durasoil is a crystal-clear, odorless, non-petroleum solution applied without water and compatible with standard spray equipment. While not an endorsement, the bulletin formally permits Durasoil as an alternative to water-based dust control—pending prior approval from the State Pavement Design Engineer. Its inclusion in WSDOT’s approved product list confirms its readiness for regulated transportation infrastructure projects requiring consistent particulate suppression and environmental safety.

Description: Ultra-pure, synthetic organic fluid that is crystal clear, odorless and is applied without the need for water dilution. Any equipment capable of spraying water can safely be used to apply material without any mess or damage to the equipment.
Uses: Dust control.
Limitations: This product is allowed for dust control on haul roads only. It may be approved on a contract in lieu of water as a dust control agent with prior approval of the State Pavement Design Engineer.
