Alaska’s Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has increasingly turned to Durasoil—Soilworks’ synthetic organic fluid—for dust control on village and rural roads where conventional paving is impractical and frequent watering is unsustainable. Applied at multiple sites including the communities of Bethel and Tanana, Durasoil has been deployed as part of broader state and tribal infrastructure programs to reduce fugitive dust emissions that affect air quality, visibility, and public health. The report highlights Durasoil’s performance in suppressing PM-10 particulate matter and its role in preventing enforcement actions under state and EPA dust regulations.
