The Abalone Cove Shoreline Park Improvements project incorporated soil stabilization and dust control to enhance trail durability and minimize environmental impact in coastal areas. To achieve long-term stabilization and erosion control, Gorilla-Snot was specified as the preferred soil stabilizer for decomposed granite (DG) pathways, ensuring a firm, dust-free surface while preserving the park’s natural aesthetics. The polymer was applied to bind loose soil particles, reducing erosion from foot traffic and weather exposure, making it ideal for public recreational areas, coastal trails, and environmentally sensitive landscapes.
