The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has selected a Scottsdale-based company to help control the dust along a stretch of Interstate 10 near the Arizona-New Mexico state line.
The same stretch of highway has seen seven closures in just over a month.
Soilworks, a dust-control company, is sending nearly 45,000 gallons of its Gorilla-Snot product to suppress the dust, according to a news release.

Gorilla-Snot is an eco-safe, biodegradable, liquid copolymer used to control erosion and suppress dust. It is designed to be easily applied to almost any soil or aggregate.
“We’ll work around the clock until we have the problem under control,” said Chad Falkenberg, president and founder of Soilworks in the news release.
