The culvert has been damned by beavers and washed out regularly in the past. The USFS is contributing labor, equipment and materials for the project including equipment and labor for installation of the bridge. Some rehab work has already been done by the USFS on this segment to widen and level the trail. The county is requesting funds to continue the trail rehab work including 2″ stone and 3″ dense base surfacing. This trail rehab will make it possible to deliver the bridge and improve sustainability of the trail. County is also requesting a 50% cost share from RTP. |
