The Giant Mine Remediation Project has officially approved Soiltac as an alternative dust suppressant for tailings and roadways to reduce airborne dust and enhance site stabilization. The project, overseen by Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), requires environmentally friendly solutions to ensure compliance with the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board (MVLWB) Water License MV2012L8-0010 and Land Use Permit MV2016S0016. Soiltac was selected for its biodegradability, durability, and ability to solidify road surfaces while preventing dust migration in sensitive environments.

RE: General Notification of Alternative Dust Suppressant For Tailings and Roadways.
Dear Mr. Morton,
The Giant Mine Remediation Project is providing notification for the use of an alternate dust suppressant, Soiltac. This product is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. It can solidify roads and other surfaces without harming the earth. This product will be used to in areas where dust suppression is required on the tailings and on the roadways. This product will allow work to occur onsite for both the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board Water License MV2012L8-0010 and Land Use Permit MV206S0016. The Material Safety Data Sheet for this alternate product is attached to the email.
